FINANCIAL AID TYPES — WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

STUDENT LOANS

Though they need to be repaid in the future, student loans are often used to pay for an education. RMCAD participates in the Direct Loan Program (Stafford Loans & Parent PLUS Loans). Funds are distributed electronically to RMCAD toward the student’s tuition account.

GRANTS

Generally based on financial need, grants are funds that do not need to be repaid. Commonly awarded grants include Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG), and Colorado Student Grants.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Like grants, scholarships do not need to be repaid, but they are most often awarded based on merit or ability. RMCAD offers several scholarship opportunities. Talk with your Admissions Counselor to learn more about these scholarships and apply today.

WORK-STUDY

Through a work-study program, RMCAD offers a limited number of part-time jobs, either on campus or with a community-service organization, to help pay for educational expenses. Eligibility is determined by FAFSA results. Positions are limited, so apply as soon as possible.

PAYMENT PLAN

The RMCAD Payment Plan could help finance all or a portion of your tuition not covered through other financial aid — interest-free. If you’re interested, get in touch with the financial aid office to set up a payment plan.
