How big are the classes?
The student-to-faculty ratio is 14:1. Campus-based classes average 11 students; 15 online.
What do students do outside of class?
In addition to cultural and recreational opportunities available in the city of Denver, RMCAD offers on-campus or virtual events, clubs or organizations, and the Explore Colorado program.
Where do students live?
While RMCAD does not offer on-campus housing, many students live at the Assembly — about 10 minutes from campus — which houses students from RMCAD, Metro, CCD, and CU-Denver. For more information on housing options, please click here.
What are the campus hours?
The campus is open Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. MST and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST.
Why does RMCAD have eight-week terms?
We believe this format emulates the creative industries where our students will be working after graduation. As an accredited educational institution, it is our responsibility to prepare students for what they can expect as working professionals.
When is tuition due? What is RMCAD’s Payment Plan?

Who should I talk to about my financial aid questions?

Does tuition cover books and supplies?
Books and supplies are not included in your tuition charge.
Can I set up a charge account at the RMCAD SPECTRUM supply store?
Yes, you may set up a pre-paid supply store account through the Student Accounts Coordinator.
How do I sign up for my classes?
We take the guesswork out of registration by scheduling your first two semesters for you. We’ll put a schedule together for you each year to ensure you get the courses you need when you need them to ensure timely graduation. You’ll know your course schedule well in advance.
How do I change my schedule?
Schedule changes are reviewed by your Student Advisor, who will send any requests to the Office of the Registrar for approval. Schedule changes are not guaranteed.
Do I choose my electives?
Yes, in most cases, students can choose electives in Liberal Arts and Studio courses. Work with your Student Advisor to identify your preferences.
What if I have prior college credits?
We will evaluate your prior college transcript(s) to identify courses that will transfer to your RMCAD degree program. Your schedule will be finalized once the transfer evaluation is complete.
